“What’s for dinner?” is a lot easier to answer when something looks in your fridge for you. That’s what AI Cook does: it turns the ingredients you already have into real, step-by-step recipes.
How it works
- 1. Snap or type. Open AI Cook and take a photo of your fridge, cupboard or the ingredients on your worktop. Or just type what you have — typing doesn’t use up a photo scan.
- 2. Check the ingredients. AI Cook lists what it spotted. Add anything it missed and remove anything it got wrong. AI can make mistakes, so this quick check matters.
- 3. Set the details. Choose how many people you’re cooking for, plus any diets or allergens. If you’ve set up your Diet Profile, these are filled in automatically.
- 4. Get your recipes. You get 5 recipes per photo for free, or 10 with Pro. Each has ingredients, method and timings.
- 5. Cook. Open a recipe and start Cook Mode for hands-free, step-by-step instructions.
Tips for better results
- Good light helps. Open the fridge door wide and avoid harsh shadows.
- Turn labels outwards on jars and packets so they’re readable.
- Take two photos if your fridge is packed — one of the shelves and one of the door.
- Add the basics. Remember to include cupboard staples like rice, pasta, spices and oil, since the camera can’t see inside your cupboards.
Free and Pro
Free members get 3 photo scans a day and 5 recipes per photo. Pro members get unlimited scans, 10 recipes per photo and priority processing when lots of people are cooking at once.
It always gives you something
If the AI service is busy or your connection drops, AI Cook falls back to CulinaryFlow’s built-in recipe engine, so you still get ideas rather than an endless spinner.
